Continuity of healthcare is as essential for families with autistic spectral disorders as it is for any other family. Unfortunately there are few clinics that will accept these families. Threshold’s Dr. Ben C. Willard, Jr. Memorial Clinic will provide this continuity. In addition we also provide family dental services. The key difference is our focus on the family. Families with special needs children and adults are welcome to become patients at our clinic.
Many of the adults and children with behavioral disorders are quite fearful of dentists and physicians. Threshold also offers dental and medical tolerance training programs. Our goal with these programs is to develop confidence in our patients and reduce fear. This fear is often demonstrated through anger and aggression. As a result many other offices are reluctant to continue care for these patients.
Threshold offers a full-range of internal medicine and pediatric services for patient's seeking primary/specialty care providers. We welcome all patients and families with and without developmental and related disabilities.
